Chimera Casting was founded in 2007 by Avani Parikh Dhar in Mumbai, India.

She stumbled into casting by chance. While working as a production coordinator on an indie film, with a first-time director, she was asked by the producer to assist the director with the film’s casting. The film was made with some of the most stellar actors in Indian film. For Avani, she knew this is what she wanted to do.

She quit production soon after and embarked on her casting career that has organically traversed between advertising & film. 15 years down, 1000+ commercials & some close to the heart films later, she now lives in NYC with her family and continues to facilitate effective talent relationships across borders for a variety of projects.
